Hello and thank you for reading this post.
For the last year, it felt great to dive into the world of social enterprise. It was something that I loved. My usual days where I created content and delivered sessions for you were Thursday and Friday. As it stood I also grappled with a great deal of work coming in from what most people know as the Golden Thread in education. I supported marketing efforts to better communicate CPD programmes that develop and retain staff in education. It obviously also made those people better teachers and I didn’t create the stuff. I helped to market and communicate the offer across Selby, Wakefield, Barnsley and Doncaster.
The end of term now has me taking a small six-week break. Yeah, it’s huge. I will be moving from this type of contract into a more full-time role at Castleford Academy Trust to head up their marketing efforts.
My goal in this post was to share my previous and my new role. I also wanted to highlight that I will be doing a Summer BootCamp this year in August. I will also be looking to continue conversations with those enterprises that are helping shape our economy.
I also wanted to stress that there will be a continued effort to create some kind of content. This however may take a slightly different look for me. In my case, I may start doing more podcasts and have to structure my blog posts a lot more.
My biggest success is not my content. It’s the workshops where people come together. Holding a blog post here is just one way to share more and extend my arm out to you. If you need help or support, or have a question, use the email I provided in the workshop slides. It’s fine.
The workshops seem to always capture people’s thoughts and help to provide a real space to reflect and shape their focus on a subject. For me, it emphasises that we need human connections no matter what and nothing matters more than ensuring that you do your amazing work and find a digitised version of yourself along the journey.
So in summary. I have a new job. It changes things for me. It won’t affect you at all.
Future workshops will probably change a little to evening sessions for a while, but that's fine. We can gather together and have some Tea and Toast.
